When I found out Manzanita Sol was at participating Taco Bells, I had to go taste and see for myself! There was no way Manzanita Sol, the iconic Mexican apple-flavored soft drinks owned by PepsiCo, was mainstream in the US. But to my surprise, Taco Bell’s fountain drink dispenser proudly displayed Manzanita Sol icon on a button.

 

 

I took one sip and immediately experienced a little sunshine of apple flavor like the first time I tasted Manzanita Sol in Mexico. I flashed back to my first trip to Mexico with the family, a day trip shopping in Progreso. We toured the various shops, listened to Mexican music, and sipped on Manzanita Sol. That was the first of many trips that developed into a family tradition.

As I ate my Taco Bell faves (Chips y Queso + Cantina Power Burrito), Manzanita Sol brighten the moment with the taste of home. It’s an emotional connection, like the way great moments and the love of music go hand in hand.
