Fall is officially here, which means one thing: it’s cooking season! So, let’s warm up those ovens and kick off the season by hosting an easy fall brunch!
This simple brunch party guide is designed for the girl-on-the-go who loves to entertain at home. The brunch menu features items from my new blog series, “Recipes Every Girl Should Know.” I’m tapping into classics like Quiche Lorraine, Mixed Green Salad, and Chocolate Brownies and twisting it up with Pomegranate Mimosas. These recipes are signature dishes made to impress your guests and are perfect for any level of cook.
Let’s get cooking because I’m going to show you how to prepare a tasty feast without the fuss!
Easy Fall Brunch Menu
To host a fun fall brunch without the fuss, keep your menu simple. I like to use a semi-homemade approach where half of my menu is made from scratch and the other half just requires assembly. The menu below features a mix of sweet and savory bites that serve a party of four to six guests. If your brunch is for eight to ten people, expand your menu with two quiches, a pasta salad, and a bowl of fresh seasonal fruit.
- Quiche Lorraine
- Simple Green Salad
- Chocolate Brownies
- Pomegranate Mimosas
Brunch Hosting Tips & Tricks
I’ve hosted brunches from large-scale to small, intimate gatherings. What I’ve learned over the years is don’t stress about matching plates or fancy serving dishes. It’s your fabulous cooking and hosting skills that will wow your guests! However, to pull a brunch party like a pro, you must stay organized and plan ahead. Here are a few tips and tricks to keep your brunch hosting on track:
- Plan your menu and keep your grocery list on your phone. Nothing is worse than leaving your shopping list at home!
- Clean your home or entertaining areas a day or two before your event. I like to have luxury-scented soap and fresh hand towels in my guest bathroom.
- Meal prep or cook a couple of dishes in advance. For this menu, I suggest making the brownies, crisping the bacon for the quiche, and prepping your fruits and veggies for salad assembly the day before your brunch.
- Place fresh cut flowers in vases and set the table. In a pinch, use decorative paper plates and disposable cutlery to minimize cleanup.
- On the day of your brunch, while your quiche is baking in the oven, assemble the simple green salad and prep the glasses for the pomegranate mimosas.
- Set up a beverage bar with fresh coffee, juice, water, and pomegranate mimosas. Leave small gift tags and a pen for guests to label their fluted glasses.
- Play ambiance lounge music to set the mood.
- If your guests wish to contribute to the brunch, have them bring fresh baked goods and a bottle of champagne for the mimosas, or better yet, let them surprise you!
Pomegranate Mimosas
1 bottle pomegranate Italian soda or fresh pomegranate juice
1 bottle of champagne (or prosecco)
1 fresh pomegranate, seeded for garnish
Fill champagne flutes with 2 ounces of pomegranate juice or Italian soda. Then top off glasses with champagne and garnish with pomegranate seeds. For a mocktail mimosa, omit the champagne.
Now it’s your turn to wow your friends with this easy fall brunch menu! It’s the perfect way to celebrate the season!
