Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies:
Recipes Every Girl Should Know
Easy Chocolate Chip Cookie, our fourth recipe in the “Recipes Every Girl Should Know” series, is one of my favorite go-to bites to make for the holidays! They are perfect for cookie swaps, potlucks, or family treats. Every girl should know how to make chocolate chip cookies from scratch. Not just any chocolate chip cookies either. I’m talking about chocolate chip cookies that are soft, chewy and melt in your mouth.
I perfected this recipe over the years because a girlfriend once told me your house should always smell like baked goods when a gentleman caller pays a visit. I was young then and thought to myself uh… okay. Now, I’m not sure about that theory because I’m still trying to win the heart of a cookie monster. But it did inspire me to become a better cook. Plus, I know kids love cookies!
In fact, my niece (Miss Bella) helped with this post as my baking assistant and official taste tester. During our session, I showed Bella my baking techniques on how to make the perfect chocolate chip cookie. I shared my trade secrets with you too in a step by step photo recipe tutorial to help you make the Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies for holiday socials, your family, or possibly a gentleman suitor!

Notes:
Pro tip, use Challenge Butter not margarine or Crisco. This recipe calls for the real deal. Use a high-quality butter, vanilla, and chocolate. Keep your cookie dough refrigerated in between baking your cookies. The dough needs to be chilled when you spoon drop and bake. Also, you can freeze your cookie dough up to 3 weeks. For this post, I baked half a batch for the blog and froze the rest for Thanksgiving Day. It’s great for the holidays! You can prepare the dough ahead of time and bake the cookies when you need them for a potluck or social gathering.

Taste & See Life friends, the “Recipes Every Girl Should Know” Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe is super easy to make and a crowd pleaser. Every time I make a batch of chocolate chip cookies for work, family or friends, I come home with an empty dish.
Also, baking is a great way to create fond Christmas memories and family traditions. This season, host a baking party to get the kids or husband involved. Or schedule a day of baking for a special mother/daughter project. All of those ideas are a great excuse to fire up those ovens and get to baking!
