Ruggles Black & the “KURIOS” Menu
[/custom_headline][gap size=”1.313em” id=”” class=”” style=””][text_output]Ruggles Black and KURIOS- Cabinet of Curiosities™ partnered up to feature a KURIOS themed menu while the Cirque du Soleil show is in Houston from April 6 until May 21. Chef Bruce Molzan created five main acts inspired by the KURIOS Cirque du Soleil show and his French-American paleo creations.
Last Saturday, I joined food media influencers at Ruggles Black for a private tasting of their featured KURIOS themed menu!

Ruggles Black started our tasting with an opening act called Mini Lili’s Mango Orange Mojitos. These mojitos were refreshing alcoholic beverage garnished with mint and a cute umbrella. They cleansed our palates before introducing us to the main acts. Cheers to a festive feast!
For our main acts, Chef Molzan prepared several paleo inspired entrées to entertain our taste buds. This was my first time trying paleo foods. After my first bite, I was sold on paleo dining! Here are a few photos from the KURIOS themed menu at Ruggles Black:

This paleo ground buffalo chili topped with sweet potato crisp, spicy microgreens, and a quail egg is a sweet and savory dish that is high flying with flavor.

The Contortionist Tacos are paleo inspired lobster tacos with Cuban spices that will have you bending over backward for more. These gems are delicious!

The Microcosmos’ Grass-Fed Natural Szechuan Peppered NY Strip Steak was one of my favorite bites. The steak is seasoned to perfection and topped with an orange-lime garlic mustard compound butter.

Klara’s Caribbean Paleo Fish & Chips features a light crispy almond flour based crusted fried snapper accompanied with mini mojo dipping sauce and an orange Habanero Kim Chi sauce. It comes with sweet potato fries and a peach papaya Asian slaw that will make your taste buds leap for joy!

Nico’s Rice con Pollo takes center stage with its East Indian spices and Caribbean flare. I loved the cauliflower rice and mix of micro greens with asparagus and carrots. I normally don’t order chicken because I think it taste bland but this dish is full of flavor. It’s a must try![/text_output][custom_headline type=”center” level=”h2″ looks_like=”h4″ id=”” class=”” style=””]
KURIOS About Cirque du Soleil?
[/custom_headline][text_output]
Cirque du Soleil premieres in Houston on April 6, 2017, under the iconic blue-and-yellow Big Top at Sam Houston Race Park. KURIOS- Cabinet of Curiosities, written and directed by Michael Laprise, is a tale in which time comes to a complete stop, transporting the audience inside a fantasy world where everything is possible. In this realm set in the latter half of the nineteenth century, reality is quite relative indeed as our perception of it is utterly transformed. KURIOS- Cabinet of Curiosities is Cirque du Soleil’s 35th production since 1984!
Tickets are available for purchase to the general public by visiting cirquedusoleil.com or calling 1-877-9CIRQUE. Tickets range from $35-$175.[/text_output][custom_headline type=”center” level=”h2″ looks_like=”h4″ id=”” class=”” style=””]
