 Look and Fresh Eats

On June 19, I attended McCormick & Schmick’s Uptown Park grand re-opening party! Media, bloggers, and VIP guests celebrated McCormick & Schmick’s new look and fresh eats. It was a festive affair with live music, craft cocktails, and tasty delights!

M&S Seafood, Steaks and Oysters, formally McCormick & Schmick’s, revealed their new modern decor, signage and logo to its Uptown Park location. The updates to McCormick & Schmick’s interior offered an inviting atmosphere featuring new carpet, artwork, dining booths, seating, and updated lighting, as well as a renovated bar with inviting lounge seating and open sightlines.

In addition to the new interior and logo, McCormick & Schmick’s updated their menu and mixology program. Their goal focused on being leaders in sustainable fresh fish, oysterology™, beyond organic vegetables, and unique tableside mixology experiences.

M & S Fresh Eats: Oysterology, Sustainable Seafood, and Tableside Cocktails

I’ve always enjoyed McCormick and Schmick’s happy hour fare and lunch specials. So I was excited to try tastings from the Oysterology program, a variety of raw and hot oysters with innovative toppings, flavors and signature oysters. I especially enjoyed the McCormick and Schmick’s signature oysters, Johnny Shucks, harvested from a proprietary oyster bed in Chesapeake Bay, practicing restorative oyster farming.

McCormick and Schmick’s innovated their seafood program featuring fresh and sustainable fish. They served an array of dishes with Pacifico True-Striped Bass, Sixty South Pure Antarctic Salmon, Hawaiian Seafood, and Open Blue Caribbean Cobia for guest to sample. Even their vegetable program got an update with beyond organic vegetables from the award-winning Chef’s Garden in Milan, Ohio. All of these new culinary programs focus on seafood and produce that is not only healthier for the guest but healthier for the planet.

I especially enjoyed the ancho chili margarita with a little spicy kick.
